Yasmin ED is a contraceptive pill available on repeat prescription.

Yasmin is taken once daily, at around the same time each day. 

What is a Combined Contraceptive Pill?

The combined oral contraceptive pill is the most commonly taken pill, and includes well known brands such as Mirogynon, Yasmin and Cilest. The combined pill is taken daily, and is over 99% effective in preventing unwanted pregnancy. It releases synthetic hormones into the body and prevents ovulation (the release of an egg). It also works by thinning the womb lining. This means that if an egg was fertilised, it would be less likely to attach.

You should not take Yasmin if you have: heart disease untreated / uncontrolled high blood pressure blood-clotting disorder / circulation problems; problems with your eyes problems with your kidneys a history of hormone-related cancer (e.g breast or uterine cancer) unusual vaginal bleeding that has not been checked by a doctor; severe migraines liver disease, liver cancer, history of jaundice caused by pregnancy or birth control pills Do not use if you are breast feeding. Smoking can greatly increase your risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack.?Your risk increases the older you are and the more you smoke. Do not use if you are pregnant.?Stop taking Yasmin and tell your doctor if you become pregnant, or if you miss two menstrual periods in a row.
